The physical datacenter is the foundation for our service offering. We are located in 1102 Grand at the heart of Kansas City, MO. This central geographic location provides a consistent user experience from East to West coast.
Servers:
Our server equipment belongs to us, not some third party that we barely know. Many hosting providers are merely resellers, i7MEDIA is not a reseller. Owning the equipment gives us a vested interest in its viability. That means we take good care of our equipment so that we can get the most out of it and provide the best to our customers.
Power:
The 1102 Grand facility is connected with five megawatts of power. Diverse utility feeds, automatic transfer switches and generator power assure your equipment is always on. Each rack includes A+B power. Primary (A) power comes from the current floor, and secondary (B) power comes from an alternate floor and UPS system. All of our UPS and generators are on a strict preventative maintenance schedule by certified professionals. The Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L) has been named the most reliable utility in the plains region.
Cooling:
All datacenter space is designed with at least N+1 redundancy to provide continuous cooling of critical equipment, even if a computer room air conditioner (CRAC) unit fails. In addition to two large cooling towers, a system has been designed to allow regulated water to be drawn from city supply. In the event of a water main break, contracts are established with a water tanker company. We are considered a first response customer for water in case of an emergency. We provide three layers of redundancy for our chilled water loop. Temperature, humidity and air-flow statistics are monitored around the clock to ensure proper cooling of critical components.
Fiber Capacity & Core Network & Bandwidth
Core network is Cisco-powered.
The i7MEDIA core, distribution and client access networks have been designed with redundancy, speed and security in mind. We seamlessly integrate best-of-breed hardware from Cisco® to provide low-latency, high uptime solutions to all of our client systems.
Connectivity
Our core, distribution and client access networks are fully Cisco® powered. Our network is designed with full redundancy in mind. At the edge, Admo.net utilizes multiple gigabit connections from tier one and two providers. The 1102 Grand facility allows access to dozens of transit providers, all in the same physical location. Unlike others that prefer to connect to one or two large tier one providers, we connect to as many tier one and two providers as possible. This enables your systems to communicate with your clients in the most efficient way possible.
i7MEDIA peers with the following public transit providers

i7MEDIA also privately peers with the Kansas City Internet eXchange (KCIX) (through Hurricane Electric) enabling us to communicate with other local businesses at gigabit speeds for free. For more information about KCIX, please visit www.kcix.net.
Disaster Prevention & Protection
- Smoke and fire suppression starts with an early warning smoke detection system using ion and laser-based detection units.
- In the unlikely event of a fire, we have a dual-interlock, pre-action, dry-pipe sprinkler system.
Physical Security:
Physical security is at the foundation of any datacenter. Access to critical network, server and power infrastracture is protected by multi-factor security elements. All Admo.net members are required to authenticate with something they have and something they know. Our facility is SAS70 audited and documentation can be produced upon request. In addition, camreas are strategically placed throughout the facility and video data is maintained for up to sixty days.
